The existence of surface shear waves in a finitely conducting magneto-elastic half-space

The existence of Love-type SH waves in an electrically finitely conducting elastic half-space under the action of a uniform magnetic field has been studied. Damped magneto-elastic SH waves are found to exist under a high magnetic field acting in the direction of propagation of the wave.
