Abstract
We have fabricated a 198 mm × 99 mm bulkmagnet consisting of arrayed melt-processed Y-Ba-Cu-O bulk superconductors that are 33 mm × 33 mm in size and 10 mm in thickness, and magnetized it by the field-cooling method. The magnetic field distribution of the bulkmagnet may be controlled by changing the bulk superconductor arrangement, because a number of bulk superconductors are arrayed in rows and columns. In this study, we performed flux-trapping experiments of the mini-bulkmagnet for three different bulk superconductor arrangements. As a result, it was proved that the magnetic field distribution could be controlled by changing the bulk superconductor arrangement.
