Some linear transformations on auxiliary variable for estimating the ratio of two population means in sample surveys

For estimating the ratio of two population means, simple linear transformations using the known coefficient of skewness, coefficient of kurtosis and standard deviation of the auxiliary variable have been considered. The suggested transformations provide efficient ratio estimators than conventional and other ratio type estimators. Results are supported with numerical illustrations.
