Erratum to: Expression profiles of miR-29c,miR-200b and miR-375 in tumour and tumour-adjacent tissues of head and neck cancers

The sections Clinico-pathological characterization of HNSCC patients as well as Abstract contained a mistake. The tumour-adjacent tissue in this study was not verified histologically, but only macroscopically by the surgeon. The main message of this study stays bona fide the same. Therefore all mentioning of “histologically verified adjacent tissues” should be substituted for “non-tumorous mucosa adjacent to the tumour site which was macroscopically healthy, i.e. at a safe distance from the tumour”.
