The 2020 AOTA Annual Business Meeting was held as a virtual event on April 20, 2020. More than 900 members registered for the event, representing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico, with more than 55 additional viewers participating through YouTube.

Presentations from President Wendy Hildenbrand, Vice President Debra Young, Treasurer Karen Sames, Secretary Melissa Tilton, and Executive Director Sherry Keramidas on the state of the association were available for viewing on the AOTA website prior to the Annual Business Meeting.
The April 20th session addressed questions submitted by members on the impact of COVID, with emphasis on the status of occupational therapy as an essential service, telehealth access and provisions for occupational therapy, mental health and resilience, and the impact on AOTA operations and finances. Presentations from the Board also addressed AOTA’s work on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
