It is seldom recognized that heat stroke can be precipitated by drug therapy. Drugs that alter normal body thermoregulation and the mechanisms of drug action on thermoregulation are discussed, together with normal body thermoregulation and heat stroke. Complications arising from heat stroke and their treatment are presented.
