Two circuit-based measures of relative spatial accessibility are derived from a synthesis of the spatial interaction and graph-theoretic approaches to measuring locational benefit. They offer a much better description of the locational accessibility pattern of urban truck terminals in Chicago than does a traditional Hansen-type index of direct interaction potential. They should be considered for further use where highly circuitous daily urban travel is the norm. In a more speculative vein, the use of such indices in multifacility location problems is considered.
