Abstract

In the July 2023 issue of Breastfeeding Medicine (vol. 18, no. 7; 528–533), the article titled Ankyloglossia in Monochorionic Diamniotic and Dichorionic Diamniotic Twins: A Cross-Sectional Study, by Feitosa et al. requires two corrections.
In the original article, the lines in the results of table 4 appeared as:
Relationship between the Type of Twin Pregnancy and the Presence of Ankyloglossia in Both Babies of the Pair or Just One Baby of the Pair
Simple logistic regression.
(1) Reference category; significant if p < 0.050.
The reference category of the dependent variable is the Di/Di classification.
CI, confidence interval; Di/Di, dichorionic/diamniotic; Mono/Di, monochorionic/diamniotic; OR, odds ratio.
It should have appeared as:
Relationship between the Type of Twin Pregnancy and the Presence of Ankyloglossia in Both Babies of the Pair or Just One Baby of the Pair
Simple logistic regression.

The reference category of the dependent variable is the Di/Di classification.

In the original article, the 9th paragraph of the discussion appeared as:
When comparing the pairs of Di/Di twins, a higher occurrence of ankyloglossia was observed in both babies of the same pair. However, in the pairs of Mono/Di twins, the occurrence of ankyloglossia was higher in only one baby of the pair. However, there was no statistical significance, probably due to the small number of pairs analyzed in each type of twin pregnancy."
After correction of table 4, it should appear as:
When comparing the pairs of Di/Di twins, a
There was an inversion by the statistician who analyzed the data.
The online version has been corrected to reflect this. The authors apologize for this error.
