Chronic Nonhematogenous Osteomyelitis Treated with Adjuvant C0 2 Laser Sterilization: A Preliminary Report

A CO₂ laser was used to sterilize wounds resulting from trauma injuries to bone on 12 sites in 11 patients. This treatment relieved chronic osteomyelitis and enabled most of the patients to function normally within 3 months of surgery.
