Call for Papers

D NA and Cell Biology publishes many types of papers including original research articles, review articles, meeting reports, essays on controversies in science, and letters to the editor, with the goal of improving communication among scientists from a variety of biological subdisciplines. Letters to the editor serve as a means for our readers to directly comment on the content of papers published in DNA and Cell Biology. We welcome letters to the editor on work published within the last 6 months. We will provide the authors of the original paper the opportunity to respond to any questions raised in the letter before the letter is published.

DNA and Cell Biology is currently soliciting papers for our special issue highlighting undergraduate research. To be considered for publication in the special issue, at least one author of the paper must have been a college undergraduate at the time the experiments were performed and all manuscripts must be received by November 1, 2011.

DNA and Cell Biology is also currently soliciting papers on all facets of epigenetics, broadly conceived to include traditional mechanisms such as DNA methylation and chromatin modification, as well as other persistent or heritable cellular state changes due to RNA, protein, or system-level network mechanisms.
