Abstract

I n the February 2011 issue of Thyroid (vol. 21, no. 2; 161–167), the article “Hashimoto's Thyroiditis Affects Symptom Load and Quality of Life Unrelated to Hypothyroidism: A Prospective Case–Control Study in Women Undergoing Thyroidectomy for Benign Goiter,” by Johannes Ott et al., there was an error in the data presented in Table 1. For the entry “Preoperative TSH,” the correct data are 1.5 ± 1.4 (No Hashimoto's thyroiditis) and 1.7 ± 1.3 (Hashimoto's thyroiditis). The revised table is presented herewith.

The authors sincerely regret this error.

I n the March 2011 issue of Thyroid (vol. 21, no. 3; 319–323), the article by Jacob Moalem et al., there was an error in the article title. The correct title should be “Metastatic Papillary Thyroid Cancer Misdiagnosed as Non–Small Cell Lung Cancer.”

Two additional errors in the article require correction:

The legend for Fig. 5 should read, “Micrograph of lung specimen (S-100 staining; 200 × magnification).”

In the second paragraph on page 322, the sentence beginning with “Likewise, CD57, which is expressed … ” should read, “Likewise, CD57, which is expressed by tumors of neuroepithelial origin, is highly sensitive for PTCs (21).”
