Abstract

Thomas David Oakland (PhD, ABPP, ABPN) died unexpectedly on March 4th 2015 at his home in Gainesville, Florida, USA. Tom served diligently as a senior consultant and Associate Editor for School Psychology International for over 15 years. His contributions in service to children around the World are legendary. Tom contributed to the American Psychological Association, The National Association of School Psychologists (USA), the International School Psychology Association, the (US-based) Society for the Study of School Psychology, the Journal of School Psychology (for which he was a former Editor) as well as service to all the World’s major English-language school psychology journals, the International Test Commission, the University of Florida and the University of Texas at Austin where he served as faculty, and at least ten universities around the world where he served as a visiting professor.
