Corrigendum

Pundhir P, Tuda C, Vincentelli C, Morlote D and Rivera C, authors of the paper ‘Scolecobasidium granulomatous pneumonia and abscess – an emerging opportunistic fungal pathogen: a case report’, published in the International Journal of STD & AIDS 2017;28:94–96, DOI: 10.1177/0956462416646688, would like to make the following correction to their article.

In the printed version of this paper the sentence:

‘A Gomori methenamine silver stain highlighted the fungal organisms (Figure 2).’

Has been amended to read:

‘The specimen was stained using both H & E stain (Figure 2) and Gomori methenamine silver stain, each of which separately highlighted fungal elements within the granulomas.’
