Abstract

The editor and the author agreed to retract the following article:
Shenoy, A. G. (2020). The impact of the Castle Doctrine on crime rates in Texas: Policy recommendations and public health implications. Health Education & Behavior, 47(2), NP2–NP11. https://doi.org/10.1177/1090198119873959
The statistical model used to analyze the data was not appropriate for the data available and the findings were incorrectly interpreted. Key to this concern is the application of time series design, which requires a higher number of time points than those available to produce valid results. The conclusions, hence, are not valid. We are grateful to the readers who helped us identify these errors.
