Abstract

Taking the mantle from a founder-editor is always intimidating because we are stepping into very big shoes. We are very appreciative of Daan van Knippenberg’s efforts as the founding Editor-in-Chief of Organizational Psychology Review. Our goal as we move forward is to grow the journal in line with his vision, as well as that of the European Association for Work and Organizational Psychology.
Organizational Psychology Review will continue with its mission of publishing conceptual papers and meta-analyses in the fields of organizational psychology, which include applied psychology, industrial psychology, occupational psychology, organizational behavior, personnel psychology, and work psychology. The journal’s impact factor of 2.07 is a testament to the relevance and scholarly contribution of the papers that have been published in the six volumes since the journal started. We will continue to publish papers that strengthen and extend the theoretical foundations of areas under the broad umbrella of organizational psychology. We welcome manuscripts that contribute to our mission.
Our new editorial team includes scholars with research interests in a wide spectrum of areas, and who live and work in multiple geographical locations. Our team, including our associate editors Doug Brown, Claudia Buengeler, Matt Cronin, Astrid Homan, Ramón Rico, and Frank Walter study topics that range from the individual to small groups to larger organizational systems. We are based at universities in countries around the globe. We want readers and potential authors to know that while we are catholic in the areas of research and perspectives that we embrace, we are singular in focus on coherent, comprehensive, original work. We welcome you to contact members of this team if you have questions about whether your work would fit within the parameters of our journal.
The submission and review processes associated with OPR will remain the same as they were in the previous years. We aim for a seamless transition between editors and editorial teams. We continue to work with Sage to make sure that our authors’ ideas are disseminated as widely as possible and accessible to individuals and institutions around the world.
We look forward to our term as Editors-in Chief of Organizational Psychology Review.
