Control Natural de Algunas Plagas de Arroz En Las Variedades Ir-22 Y Cica-6

The larval stage of Spodoptera frugiperda (J. E. Smith) on two rice varieties, was regulated by six parasitoids and two pathogens; the action of these natural enemies was higher on the rice variety IR-22 than on CICA-6; larvae of Panoquina were attacked by four parasitoids and two pathogens. Euplectrus plathypenae Howard was the most effective larval parasitoid for both pests on the two rice varieties.

Eggs parasitism by Telenomus sp. was more abundant on Panoquina sp. Rupela albinella (Cramer) and Mormidea ypsilon L. the egg mases of Diatraea saccharalis (F.) were parasited only by Trichogramma sp.

The parasitism of Sogatodes orizicolus (Muir) and S. cubanus (Crawford) by Elenchus sp. was higher on IR-22 (19.8%) than on CICA-6 (4.06%).
