Abstract
We justify, for a simplified non‐linear law of ferromagnetic materials, the use of effective boundary conditions in order to simulate the effect of thin ferromagnetic coatings in electromagnetic scattering problems. The numerical comparisons between exact an approximate solutions have been done in [2], and the present work quantifies the error with respect to the coating thickness.
